Difficult end of season

Saturday 9 November saw the racing season come to an end for Josh for Rok Cup. Josh had a decent qualifying session putting his kart 4th on the grid only 0.2 of pole. The kart was working well and Josh was upbeat for a close and competitive race day. Race 1 started in the worst way possible with Josh getting involved in a accident with a fellow competitor. This however didn’t stop him from getting back in the race. Push starting his own kart to get back in the race. Josh pushed hard crossing the line in 7th but putting up the 2nd fastest lap which would see him start race 2 on the front row of the grid. Race 2 started perfectly with Josh taking the lead and pulling away when his engine unfortunately started developing a miss fire which saw Josh drop to the back of the field ending race 2 in 8th. Race 3 was filled with action. Josh kept out of all the drama driving a perfect race crossing the line 2nd only 0.035 behind teammate Leyton Fourie. With a mixed bag of results Josh took 6th overall for the day. Josh wasn’t happy but was satisfied knowing that without the drama and issues from race 1 and 2 he would most likely have been on the podium. Josh would like to thank his mechanic Zane for all his hard work and effort this year. Then thanks must go to RKT for everything they have done for Josh both locally and overseas races. Then to his parents and biggest supporters for allowing him to chase his dreams. Lastly thank you to one and all for the kind words and support. Now a special thanks from us at Kartmag SA for allowing us the privilege to be part of your racing career. He hope to continue following your progress into the future. Lastly Josh will continue working on fitness and other parts of his karting career. The work never stops. Until next time be safe and have a happy festive season.
